The Friends of the Bolton Public Library was founded in 1994 to raise funds that enhance library programming and collections. The group holds an annual membership drive and a semiannual book sale.
$1 million in contributions to the Friends helped to build the renovated, expanded library. In addition the Friends fund our First Thursdays lecture series, museum passes, childrens’ programs, and much more. The Friends also sponsor Wowbrary, our weekly e-mail newsletter.
DONATING BOOKS?
The Friends are unable to take donations at this time. They are in transition from their former location (Emerson School) to a new space (Houghton Building). While renovations to the Houghton Building continue, they’re unable to unpack and organize.
Please consider other area libraries for your donations. Profits from local book sales keep your donations working in your community!
